Has anyone begun mating yet?

Mass_Chaos Mar 10, 2005 09:08 PM

Today my motley texas rat and type 2 mated. I thought it was a bit early but I also pulled them out early too.

my speckled kings and some sonoran gophers have mated and i'm waiting on several others to go soon. my snakes always go off feed in september and consequently are done brumating early.

I don't think it's too early. We get pretty excited with the start of spring around here...haha.

Actually, I have some snakes that mated last fall..my diones. Elaphe bimaculata mate in the fall too, if you have them together. Right now I just have my adult dione out and they are getting ready for their first shed. Then they will mate again. But the female may already be gravid.

My Mandarins will mate this spring too, but they are still in brumation for the moment.
