Today I had the honor of photograhping Eli Carleton's new female Axanthic Moluccan python...she is extremely docile, a joy to photograph & handle, and just an exquisitely beautiful snake all around. Our best wishes to Eli on his new acquisition and the potential she brings to his Axanthic Moluccan project.

Congrats Efly!!!!

Kara,
We have had two adult females for about five years now that we picked up as WC babies from Dave and Tracy. One of them is the one that laid eggs for us last season. This year we received the only adult breedable male known to exist in the USA. There's one other that we've been able to track down but it is in Italy. I am sure there are other males but I and many other scrub fanatics have been unable to track down any more.
We also got one baby male like Eli's to raise up for a while. They are indeed very beautiful snakes. Our baby has a sky blue color on his sides.
Hopefully someone will get lucky again with these snakes. How come Eli won't come out of the woodwork and chat? I'd love to talk with the guy. Make him come out and play!

I'm glad to hear that these beautiful snakes are in the hands of such capable keepers! The Axanthic Moluccans are really starting to lure me into the world of Scrubs, and it's easy to see why. Hopefully the two of you will be able to share notes & eventually offspring to widen the collective gene pool.

As far as Eli coming out to play, well, he's also the assistant manager of our retail pet store...we don't let him out much. In all seriousness though, we have plans to photograph his entire collection in the not-too-distant, so hopefully we can all convince him be a bit more social going forward.

Good luck with your Axanthic project - keep up all the hard work!!

He doesn't have to be a socialite!
He just needs to talk to me!!! LOL!
If anyone has a bunch of scrubs, I want to talk to 'em!
That's just the way it is!
Please get him to email me or send me his email addy.
Folks working with scrubs need to talk so we can learn from each other. That's the only way to crack the enigma of scrub reproduction! Don't forget that also encompasses Boelens.
