Besides probing, I am looking for a good way to sex the baby rattlers. How accurate is looking at the tail constriction to sex the baby rattlers?

Besides probing, I am looking for a good way to sex the baby rattlers. How accurate is looking at the tail constriction to sex the baby rattlers?
I find it easiest to "pop" a neonate Rattler. You'll need restraining tubes of course. If your not familiar w/ the technique, find someone who is & practice w/ baby ratsnakes. Even probing can be pretty inaccurate as females are sometimes really males.
I found it easiest to have two of the same size/age and compare vent to tail tip lengths to depict male from female.
But then I have NEVER been able to pop any snake before. Guess I'd make a bad snake Gyno. lol
