BRB right after shed

mojoman Mar 11, 2005 05:52 PM

Hello everyone this is my first post here. I have being looking at this site for a while and gaining some valuable information about my BRB. I have only had her for about 2 months now, but she shed last night and her colors are remarkable. I thought I would share a picture that I took this morning with you all. She is only about 4 months old and she is about 36" long.

I really enjoy seeing everyone's photos, so please keep them coming.

Mojoman,
...Welcome to the forum. Very pretty BRB. If she is 36 inches long she is older than 4 months. They are 15 to 18 inches long when born. They will eat heavily and grow fast when little but to get to 36 inches usually takes 6 to 12 months.

Thanks for the compliments...

I meant to say 24" inches. Sorrry I was rushing through that post. Yes 36" would be totally off the wall. I got her when she was about 2 months old and she was about 20" inches then. I have been feeding her 2 fuzzie f/t mice every 7 days except for last week when she would not eat. I will feed her tommorrow cause Im sure she is very hungry now.

I would like to start feeding her f/t pinkie rats, but I cant find a place that sells them in qtys less than 100 and then they charge over $25 dollars for shipping. I just dont see paying that much for something that will be too small for her in 3 more months. I would love to hear any suggestions you guys have on that.

Thanks again,

Justin

Welcome to the Board
Nice looking RB you have there.
As far as getting Rats you could always buy live ones and just well make them un alive. I think there is a local guy who sells in smaller quantities if I can find his addy I'll post it for you. Randy
