After 90 days of a fairly warm hibernation I found my russians scratching around in their hibernation box.
The temps ranged from the mid to upper 50s, unlike last year when the temps went down to the upper 40s. They (1 male, 2 females) produced 14 eggs and nine hatchlings last year, so it will be interesting to see if the warmer hibernation will have any influence on fertility.
The weight loss of the four torts (3 adults, one 2.5 yr old juvenile) ranged from 1.6 to 4.1%. I did give them a couple soaks during hibernation, which probably helped maintain their weight.
If the weather is on schedule, they'll be outside in about 3 weeks, and producing eggs a few weeks after that.
