nice, but those would be patternless, not leucistics, lecisticts are a term for what blizzards are

Sandfire sends those guys to us as Luecistics (which I was always told meant black and white colored) and the Blizzards (which we also have) are patternless . . . . Hmmm . . . . :-

Mistake in naming morphs by them?? We sell 'em as what get them in as . . .

blizzards are white/grey, hence the name blizzard

patternless' are yellow with white tails and have no spots

alot of people mistake patternless leos as leucistics

heres a pic of my patternless male

and here is my female blizzard

what you have are patternless, as they grow they will lose the botches and become yellow like the male i pictured, leucistics are completely grey with darker greay heads when they are babies

Dan is right, you have a patternless, and it's a cutie too.

Dan is also wrong, blizzards are not leucistic either.

LOL, this has been confusing people for years, and confusion reigns still, because years ago someone mis-called the first patternless Leucistic. About once a month I see someone asking to explain blizzard/leucistic/patternless, because they are (rightfully) confused. Whoever did that first misnaming, I'd like to smack them.

The link below is a brief explanation of the differences...

i meant to say blizzards are not true leucistics, i beleive they are missing that certain gene, anyway i still call em leusictics when im not callin em' blizzards, lol

thanks for pointing that out laura

So when I sell these guys to customers (or see them called Luecistics are shows) I should basically mention that they are patternless and that they will lose the splotches, correct?

Oh boy . . I almost bought a "Luescitic" (patternless) Juvie at the Northeast Pet Expo this weekend . . . gorgeous looking guys they were . . .

So what color WILL the patternless be?? How much different from Blizzards' colors??

Yes and yes

They are my favorite morph.

Patternless adults have a solid yellow body with a yellow or whitish head, and a whitish tail. Some have a little bit of a carrot tail too. The intensity of the yellow varies from gecko to gecko. The little guy in your pic looks nice and yellow, but only time will tell for sure. I'm less sure of the range of blizzard colors, but generally patternless have much more yellow than blizzards.
