keeping crickets

i just bought crickets at petco and they all where alive. i get home after hanging out with the gf and more than half are dead. i cleaned out my critter keep with just hot water. why do they do a mass suicide i havent had the problem with the first batch.

IT could be a variety of things,maybe they got too hot or thirsty.I once had a whole batch die on me,I found out later that they were very old adults and they died of old age.

Leaving them in a hot car will make them all die... has happened to me! It's like they "pop" or something! Good luck with your next batch!
