heating question

denise1 Mar 12, 2005 08:58 AM

I just purchased a 75 gallon tank for my bearded dragon, it is 48"L x 18"W x 24"H... what would be the right wattage for a basking light?
would I need more than just the basking light to keep the temp throughout at correct levels, I assume so?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

It really depends on a few different things.. The temp of the room the cage will be in will effect the temp in the cage, thermal mass in the cage will also also alter the temp.. It is really more of a trial and error thing when getting the right bulb. It will also depend on the specie of animal in the cage..
