BCI from quintana roo,mexico

back from sunny warm mexico, looking outside at 20 degree weather . heres some pics of some boas that were all caught in an area about 2 hrs. south of cancun ,(not w/c by me, unfortunately the only thing i caught was a small rear fanged snake whos latin name escapes me and a scorpion mud turtle). but then again this was our 15 yr anniversary not a herping trip for me!

one more, and let me clarify, these were captives at the time i took the pics at a park, but the owner told me they were all caught in the surrounding area

Nothing like seeing the real thing where they belong. Mother nature did a nice job on all of them. Nice pics and hope you had a good trip. Weren't you the one I recommended go to the city dump? You never would have lived that aniversary down lol.

no that wasnt me, i saw that post once i got back and thought it probably would be a great place to hunt snakes. i actually used to hunt near a dump in southern calif back in the early 80's and did pretty good on gopher snakes,cal kings and red racers over there, makes sense now. these 4 females (but not the male) all have pink in their sides that doesnt really show up in the pics.the first female pictured had the most and really changed my opinion on mexican BCI, i really want some now (they were all fairly mellow as well). the owner of the park told me that during the rainy season they are fairly common early morning or late afternoon, the big dark female actually came from the resort we were staying at. he caught it and put it into the back of the suburban when he was picking up hotel guests. they were all freaking out as it slithered under the seats.
