Very nice looking family, human and animal. Have to ask in all honesty though do you have to watch carefully so that the cat doesn't become a snack for the python? I am sincerely asking because I have two cats and someday would like have a large snake. How does one avoid a very tragic and sad accident?

Hannah (the cat) and Moses are never in the same room at home. Hannah does not go in the basement and we usually only handle Moses down there. If we bring him upstairs or outside the cat is in our daughter's room. Bruno (the Chow Chow) comes downstairs a lot but if we bring Moses out Bruno goes outside or we put a leash on him and someone makes him lay next to them on the opposite side of the room.

Other stuff she forgot was the snake NEVER runs loose. If he's on the floor we make sure the cat is upstairs with the door shut. Also, if he's on the floor I am ALWAYS in physical contact with him. ANYTIME he is out he has physical contact with a member of my family. I usually don't allow the cat downstairs as it's the only place in my house with carpet. I'm alergic to cats and carpet does not help any. I think if you are responsible, you should have any problems. If you start to do something and you have to say to yourself "It should be OK" Don't do it. You have to be sure it will be OK.
