Caught her on a bad day.

Barry Miller Mar 12, 2005 10:52 PM

I realized today that I usually post pics of my snakes when they are at their very best, so in all fairness here's one at her very worst. This was taken this morning. She is way dark, going into a shed cycle, and doesn't have the usual red coloring. This is a ten year old snake that had babies last fall and is resting this year, though I can tell she wants to breed because she's hanging out on the cold side. She's almost nine feet long. (The pic is deceptive, she's actually got a real big head.) Wait till you see her after the shed. A nice yellow background, fire-engine red tail on a pure white base, a red face and red sides, and even her speckling is a rusty-red color.
I know what's you're wondering: "Is this the mother of the "Dancing White Guys" snake. Nope, but this is the mother of some of the babies with huge red tails that I posted awhile back.

Wow, personally I like how she looks, the difference between the tail blotches the her base and saddle color is very nice.

One day i will have to get a BCC, for now observation will suffice. (though i don't know how)
