Howdy folks, Im new to this forum, but been a long time KS.com poster. Last fall I happened upon 1.2 Hyde County NC Eastern kings. One female is nice and big, about 5 feet and bulky. The other female is not quite at breeding size, Im gonna give her another year so I dont stress her too bad. My male is in between those 2 sizes. I pulled them up from winter about a week ago, and my big female just shed. Im gonna put them together tomorrow after a heavy feeding tonite. Im nervous though, because.....well, they're KING snakes. The female could easily overpower the male. So, how does this get done? Should they be supervised the entire time they are together?
I've never bred kings before. Although I was lucky enough years ago to catch a gravid female, so incubating is old news for me.
Any help would be appreciated
