eating shed?

so i was just back by the lizards and i saw hugo walk over to helga, rip a piece of shedding skin off her back and eat it. is this normal? this is the first shed since they have lived together

I haven't seen my uros do it, but the anoles all do - they're essentially recycling the skin nutrients.

Ra eats his shed all the time. I don't know if he eats Isis's but I've seen him eat his own. Don't worry about it, it's harmless (plus, you don't have to be the one to clean it up )

maybe it is a guy thing, assuming hugo really is a boy. well it is nice to know it is a quasi-normal thing. i knew some animals ate their own shed, i had never heard of them eating it off someone else. i guess he is sick of helga being grumpy, lol
