Breeding pics, and summary

morgans boas Mar 13, 2005 03:56 PM

Hi, below are two boas that I've produced that share the same striped father, but have different mothers. The father of these died at around 14 years old (couldn't get him to take food after breeding). I believed he was a WC bci. I doubt that he was a Columbian because he was only 5 ft at the most. The male breeding below is an '02, and only about 30" long. The female is an '01, and maybe 5 feet. Before anyone thinks that this is too small, most of the babies from the original males' 6 breedings stayed small, the largest female that I saw was right at 6 feet.
These two have been together since october, but started courting in November. I've seen copulation twice this week, so hopefully soon he'll lose interest, and she'll ovulate.

This is a blurry pic (it's a picture of a photogragh) of the original male. This is the 1st attempt to prove out the striping.
