Question about substrate and cleaning it

Rottenweiler9 Mar 13, 2005 04:27 PM

Right now I am using news paper but am thinking of switching to somthing else because of the humidity. I have a moss box in there that I spray once, sometimes twice a day. But what do you do when you snake poops or pees on the shavings or wood chips. Do you have to replace the whole thing, or just scoop it out. But then how do you disinfect it.

Thank you
Jeff

Try cypress mulch, holds the humidity well. When they defecate on it you will have to remove all that is defecated on and replace it with new mulch.
