Help Shipping my Tegu

Niko8 Mar 13, 2005 04:49 PM

What is the best way to ship my tegu? He is full grown. Probably 4 feet and 15 pounds. I want to ship him from California to Massachusetts in April.
Is there any way to take him on the airplane?
Thanks
Niko

Hi Niko! Good question regarding the airplane aspect. There are a few options you may want to check into. Call the airline to see waht there regulations are for transporting your tegu wit h you, even if he is in a contained box/case, etc.

The other option is to have him shipped overnight via UPS or Fed Ex. From Cal. to Mass may be around $100 for his wt/size. If you need shipping tips (how to pack, heat packs, etc. email me directly attentive-ear@comcast.net) You may find the airlines are actually cheaper, especially if you are flying with them. He may be considered a carry-on? :0)
