Female Uroplatus pietschmanni

Mad_1234 Mar 13, 2005 05:24 PM

I believe she is currently gravid hence the darker coloration. My pair mated again right after she laid her last clutch of eggs.

I just had to show you guys a couple pictures of my giant day gecko. She has a sort of Blue hue to her that I think is cool. I have never seen another giant day gecko like her.

Giant Day Geck, very aggressive eater, I like these geckos also.

She was sent to me by her owner last year, to take care of while shes off to college. But in a years time, I have really grown to like her

Matt has a nice blue-ish one, very prety !

Hey nice friend you have to send you such a cute young guy!

Wow Matt! They are looking beautiful. That is exciting that you might have even more babies on the way! Your female has very pretty coloring. What did you mean by she might be gravid because of the dark coloration? The little babes are sure looking great as well. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of set up do you have for incubating the eggs?

Every time my female has been gravid she turns a darker color than normal. I'm not sure if this is the case for all Cork Barks but it has been for my female. She is normally about the color of the cork bark she is on. As for my eggs I incubate them in a plastic container with soaking wet vermiculite and a layer of dry vermiculite on top of that. For heat I have a black light on a stand. Also I haven't forgotton about your last email. I'll send you a picture of my incubator with the email.

I am glad your Cork Barks are doing good. Once they get established they are very hardy. I hope you have luck breeding them, we need some more CB Uroplatus pietschmanni out there. I would love to see some more pictures of them.
