seriously considering a gecko

hello, everyone i am considering buying a gecko either a leopard or a crested. any kind of help would be appreciated. caresheets, enclosures,temps the best undertank heater ect.i have chameleons so i breed waxworm, mealies, crickets and superworms.looking in to roaches and silkworms.thanks in advance.matt

well the best thing u can do is get a good book, like the Leopard Gecko Manual, and read through it. visit breeder sites (alot of times they have care sheets), subscribe to Reptiles magazine, talk to breeders and owners, etc etc etc.

They are very easy to take care of and dont require much maintenance. All you gotta do is provide an adequate heating gradient, food, water, substrate (paper towel if young, sand optional if they are adults), calcium dish (optional but recommended), and various hides in the tank (1 or 2 being humid hides). They even poop in the same spot every time so cleaning is a breeze. For feeding I buy meal worms every 2-3 weeks and occasionally bring home some wax worms for a snack. Good luck
