2003 "Mk"-Litter Pos Super-Salmon Male (again)

topnotchboas Mar 13, 2005 07:52 PM

These were taken at 11:00 this morning. He was in medium phase.

These came out well, I see a couple that will be great for cropping to put on my website.

Something I am noticing is that the tan background of the walkway stones in many of the shots actually makes the boa look darker. Compare the undertone coloration of him in the full body shot in the grass with the ones on the walkway. In person he looks like the shot in the grass. It was the same thing with my EBV female "Bonnie"'s pictures I just posted. I think the reason why the tan walkway stones make them look darker is because of the light they reflect, overexposing the shot in a very subtle way (the light of the boa is lessened to counter the overexposure of the walkway stones). This is why I think darker wood has given me the best results (no reflective surface).

Belly again. Neon! Came out blurry but I had to share anyway .
