Abbott's Okeetee Corn Snake - DOES COLOR FADE?

bxavier Mar 13, 2005 08:15 PM

Will a young ABBOTT'S OKEETEE CORN SNAKE keep the same vibrant colors when it gets to full size/full maturity? I have seen pictures online and thought it would be the perfect variety that I would like. If the underside is black and white, will that remain or will it fade? I want a snake that is beautiful young, but does not lose the color when it matures. Will it get 4 feet long as is typical? This is my first time buying a corn snake and I wanted to try to pick my favorite variety.

Thank you for any information or direction. It is much appreciated.

Just the opposite...Okeetees tend to get brighter as they grow

3.3 cats??? Wow! I guess that's what you call a snake escape deterrant! Don't feel bad - I've got to live with 2.4 dogs (the wife is a dog lover)!!!
Looking forward to seeing you in Raleigh, though! E-mail me and let me know what you'll be wearing that day and I'll do the same. . .
