so i was staring at ivan thorough the tank and noticed that when the sand moved she would stare at it like it was something to eat. i threw a cricket in and it coaxed her out of the hole. she gobbled up the crickets and is basking. i mananged to lift the tank to see where the eggs were and they were three inches from where she had been hanging out all day! oh i could beat her making me worry for nothing! i guess she just wanted alone time.
there are 6 eggs. five look really good with nice white shells and pinkish hues and one looks like a dud but of course it is in the incubator. now it is time for the hard part, watching and waiting!

if i bought a humidity gauge, what should the percentage be inside of the incubator? has anyone really paid attention to that before?

Well, ya do pay attention but kind of by sight, LOL

Ususally wet down your vermiculite IF thats what you use, I do, and add water as needed in a few weeks, just feel it, if it feels a bit dry add some(don't get any on the eggs themselves though.)

Also if the eggs go off color brownish, too humid / wet
If they cave in, not humid enough , add water.

i think what i really need is for someone else to take care of the eggs. do they ship well, lol. if i had the time i would sit and stare at them for the next 40-60 days. i just need a way to calm down, but unfortunately calm and vonnie have an oxymoronic relationship

To stare at them DOES NO GOOD, heheheheh LOL

Just have the temps right, every so often feel the substrate, if dryish add water (keeping away from eggs) if dampish, leave it be.

AND WAIT, like the rest of us, LMAO
