dark underneath

hey fellas. i was wondering if it meant anything when beardies get dark underneath them( belly and beard). any replies would be great ty!

well it could be any of:

stress
anger
exitement
not feeling well / is sick.

for example a beardy will make the beard dark when extended to make him look more of a threat to the creature that scared him.

also they chnage by the temp and mood...

my dragon turns pale -- almost white when sleeping in a cold dark place.

and turns almost black in the morning when warming up.

if the belly is dark and is normally white / grey then see if there is a threat or if the dragon is ill.

Beardies (along with reptiles in general) will change color all the time for various reasons. One reason they may darken is to aid in regulating their temperature. And of course other reasons too. So in general, it is very typical to see their bellies, and coloration in general, dark one moment/day and light the next.
