Hey Rob Got a question about a past post

Rottenweiler9 Mar 14, 2005 11:42 AM

I was looking through the archeive posts about cleaning solutions. You recomeded somthing called quar pv. Do you have to use water with this. I was thinking of going to some type of shavings that are sold by Chicago Reptile House. Put don't want to keep replacing all the chips because I use clorox bleach. And if you do not have to use water with this stuff then I will start to use that.

thanks
Jeff

I use a product called Quatricide PV by Pharmacal. You buy it by the gallons and it will last a LONG time as you do dilute it with water (for an average misting bottle, it is basically a small shot of the disinfect for a full bottle of water). If you use shavings, you can take a big handful of the soiled substrate, trying to get to the bottom of the cage, and then just spray the bottom making sure that the surface is disinfected and then replacing fresh bedding over it. This is an excellent product and I have used it for decades.
