Succesful First herping trip of 2005 A.N.F.

SnakeCharmer377 Mar 14, 2005 12:21 PM

Herping season has finally arrived....well almost! I took a trip to the A.N.F. a few weeks ago and this is what I found. I think I might have found a few more herps, but I didn't want to destroy the habitat. Anyways I was very succeslful. Thanks for looking!!!

Nice Pics! Love to see pics of wild caught herps! Thanks for sharing!
Here's a three tailed anole I found in my front yard (My son calls him "Sharky" - due to the tail fin look) - Sorry couldn't resist. . .

Found her in the fall season under some wood (near the Tallahassee city limit). She's about 20" long.

Wow great looking snake. Its funny how some wild snakes look as great as captive born and selectively bred.

What is the ANF? I assuming a National Forest? I can think of at least a dozen National Forests that start with A. Thanks - I'm curious! - Matt

but a little bit of research and Googling, and I got the answer myself.
I never would have guess what the A stood for being it's so far down south as Florida.
