Just a message to my iggy... >.>;

wulfyoukai Mar 14, 2005 06:03 PM

I feel so helpless it makes me sick. If our budget would allow it, we would at least feel like we're doing something to help you. Unfortuantly, we aren't about to sell the car, or even this computer. For you I've shed twice the tears I spared for the Uncle; can I help but feel pathetic and... well... poor? There is only one thing we may say "money is no question" to - and that is to see you go peacefully. I'm sorry God put you in my hands. My only wish is that you may forgive me.

... That's all. -.- Do delete this thread if it doesn't belong. Just needed to get this out - I can't even look her in the eye anymore.

what is going on dear? y do you need to put your iggy down. maybe we can help you. i read in a different post that she was gravid. is she not laying the eggs and you cant aford the surgery? you dont have to put her down. maybe you can find a vet that will take payment plans or a credit card. i know thats hard to find but sometimes if you have a good relationship with your vet they will work something out for you. please let us know whats going on. there may be other options for you and your iggy.

I hope you follow up relenlessly on Bloodroses' suggestions. I wish you the greatest luck in finding what you need.

As for inviting us to take your message off the board, heck no, it's reality. Along with Igdaddy's ig growth pics posted whever iguanas are sold, your story should be there too, to really pump up the fact that an iguana owner needs to have about $600 ($900 in the San Francisco Bay Area) in their iguana's medical account in case something drastic goes wrong.

I sure hope it's not a simple spay or abscess that is standing between your iguana and her life. Find a vet right away, even if it's hours away. Again I wish you and your iguana all the best and I hope she gets through this.

Maybe somebody will give you a loan with your car as collateral?

....based on future earnings at your job. The interest is high but the payments are low. I hear them advertized on the radio all the time but I can't think of their names right now. I'll hear it to day and add the name under this post.

Ok, whatever is going on, there are people who can help! Money is never an issue! Trust me. Don't just kill an animal because of a financial reasons. I'll personally donate some of my own money to help! Don't just post things like that until you've at least tried your absolute best to fix the problem. I'm sorry to sound so cruel, but when a life is at stake, money should never be an issue. There are agencies that will help pay for emergency vet bills. There are people willing to take animals from people who can't afford them. Look at all your options before you decide to take it's life away.

Some vets also accept programs such as care credit, which is sort of like a credit card just for the vet. You can usually sign up for the program right at your vets office.
