Here is the latest documentation that I have found pertaining to road cruising in Texas. Hope it helps.
Hunting reptiles

I thought the new statues stated that we can hunt from the road as long as we don't create a traffic hazard...

When did the below posted document get published?

The link below will provide all the information about the policy change. First, click on the link - it takes you to the page McMartinVille--Reptiles, "Field Herping Laws and Equipment, then scroll right and down to the following:

"NEW for 2004: The above email from TX Parks & Wildlife is valuable to carry in your vehicle if you plan on road-cruising Texas. Click here or click the image for a larger, printable-size version (274KB).
For more clarification on this policy from TPWD's Chief of Law Enforcement, CLICK HERE." This last click here is the link that provides all the email traffic between Roy and Troy and TPW regarding the new policy.

I'm sure there will be some discussion. I still plan on walking.
Do you hear that Cervantes!

Hey Steven,
Hows it going? I thought you said Lance was grounded per the BOSS. Being wooped is sad tell him to grow some. But you know what i know how feels. See ya, Cliff

Lance is able to go out 2 times this year. So we are doing a South Texas run and a River Road run. He may get to go on few one night shots to some places close as well.

How is the family? Still in East Texas? Please call sometime or write.

The letter was published in the STHA newsletter last summer, and apparently the letter was making the rounds among various herpers before it was published there. The supporting email dialogue (also available on my site) was provided by Troy Hibbitts.
