geckobreeder123 Mar 14, 2005 07:18 PM

My female is 7in and weighs 57-60g and is 1.5 yrs old. I think she is ready for breeding..but..my question is..will she be more likely breed if she weighed more??? Also she wont mate? I moved her away from the male for a month and tried again(no luck)??
I need help..Any suggestions?

As long as she is over 50 grams and has developed egg follicles, Id say she is ready to breed. How big is your male? It could be that your female is dominant over your male, and he is intimidated by her. If you change the enviroment(lighting and temp.) to appear like spring, females become more receptive.
