I couldn't figure out why my aquarium is sooooo gross when I have a canister filter and only one turtle. There is so much crud on the bottom its unbelievable and I was being so careful not to over-feed. As it turns out, I was feeding the turtle 2-3 times per week-- and my son (age 12) was feeding him daily, and my daughter as well! And that naughty little turtle still acted like he was starving to death every time I fed him! I'm suprised he is not as big around as a garbage can lid by now!

LOL!!! Well that solves that one. Of course they will look at you with those eyes that say "YOU NEVER FEED ME!!!" Today my group ate scallops, reptomin and shrimp. Stuffed to the gills and three hours later they are mobbing me begging like they have never been fed.
