incubating fimbriatus eggs

stillsmokin Mar 14, 2005 09:20 PM

I have 1.2 fimbriatus'. they are succesfully breeding , but I am having dificulties with incubating. I have had two clutches from each female, the first clutch from each have been in the hovabator for more than 120 days. I know the eggs are fertile because i cracked an egg to see if anything was developing, and there was a partially developed fetus in it. My incubator is running at 72 degrees, the eggs are in moistened perilite and i keep a dish of water in the incubator too help with humidity. If anyone can help me it would be greatly apreciated.

well, i know henkeli eggs can take up to 5 months to hatch, so i wouldnt be surprised if fimbriatus are just about the same. next time just sit on them longer.

was the partially developed fetus moving? many times even when they're only 1/2 way done they will still move around some. otherwise you may have done something wrong with the incubation ( like too much water/spraying eggs directly etc.)
