I have recently heard that you can raise silworms on shredded carrots. Has anyone heard of this working?? Thanks

I know that mine ate cottonwood leaves once and died overnight! (messed up tree ID!)

They seem to eat almost anything when they are hungry. The question is, will they live and grow on it? I doubt it.
I've had them eat ficus, dandelion, lettuce, etc. but I would't try to raise them on it when silkworm chow and Mulberry is so easy to come by.
