HELP Please

Ok, guys, i want to start out that i am a lizard lover, but i specialize in Breaded dragons. ones 7 1/2 years old and the other is 6. last year my younger brother went into the Navy and couldn't keep his gecko. he's extreamly sweet, but i dont have time to spend with him. my life was really un organized and i am now getting back on track. I basically have been just trying to keep the little guy alive. So last night, i took him out of his cage and gave him a bath. Well i felt so bad (especially since i know this can happen) his left front hand was missing his finguers. I know this is due to my bad up keeping. also some of his other digets looks a lil discolored. So now i am totally upset. I failed this little guy and i dont want it to happen again. I headed out to the pet store tonight to get him anything he may need to bring his houseing up to par. My question to you guys. I plan on bathing him every night this week to try to get any dead skin off his hands.( good idea)?

1. will his digits grow back?
2. i need a great source to read up on these guys.

Please do not bash me, I feel bad enough. This is a true cry for help. I want to make his life as enjoyable as possible any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Hey there!
It's nice to hear that you want to help your brother's leo. As far as his lil' toes go, no, unfortunately they will not grow back. However he should be able to live a happy normal life without them. As far as his remaining toes go, well I would soak him in lukewarm water in a Kritter Keeper for 30 minutes, depending on the severity of the situation. After a good soak, gently rub the toes and try to rub the dead skin off.
There are a lot of great websites you can check out to read up on leopard gecko care, as well as check out some pics of awesome looking leos. I like geckosetc.com, goldengategeckos.com, and gexfiles.com.
Good Luck!

Adding a humid hide should eliminate any more toe problems with his future sheds. Just take a tupperware container, put some damp paper towels in it and cut a little hole in the side!
