I watched this instead of TV last night

Anyone ever put monitors up for sale, and then have reservations about selling them. Then later end up getting another one and not selling the ones that are for sale? Is there a support group for this?

I put my 2 Argus in the same cage last night. One was real submissive and the other was dominating. Neither of them hurt the other. The known male tried to mount the other one numerous times, but the submissive one either tried to get away or waited until it could get away. I thought I had 2 males, but I am not so sure now. They are both almost exactly the same size.

I have pictures of the "attempted" coupling that I may post later to get som input.

This stupid hobby is addicting.

Hmmmmm I bet no one has told you that even male dominence bahaviors match mating behavior almost exactly. It's all about who is the strongest male in the cage and throwing their weight around. Basically your one male could be showing his authority by pining the other male down.

Or you could have a pair. You'll never know to for sure until either a fight breaks out or you get eggs.
Good luck and keep an eye on them.

Yeah, It very easily could be a dominance thing. It was interesting to watch though. Very traumatic for Thrasher though. Thrasher was out and about earlier today and ate a lot of food. It was in a burrow when I got home though. I may try again later this week if they both look up to it. Be sure I watch them very closely when they are in the same cage!!!
