Dragon Not Eating

Drako257 Mar 15, 2005 02:07 PM

Hello -

I have an adult male dragon approximately 5 years old. I recently had to move and my dragon will not eat and tries to escape his cage constantly. I'm starting to worry as its been approixmately a week and he hasn't eaten a thing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

David

I know it can be troubling when they don't eat for a while, but I imagine the stress of the move has just upset his karma. LOL A gravid female can go many weeks without eating so I would let him settle in for a while and only offer food every couple of days. When he finally adjusts to his new surroundings he will probably be happy to eat all of his favorite things for several days and then settle back into his previous feeding routine. Good luck and keep a close eye on him, as you have been doing, just in case he got cold during your move and picked up a respiratory infection.
