sorry not a rare snake. but i has something to do with snakes and field herping. I made this in my schools wood shop out of scrap wood. Its made out of pine, poplar, oak, and walnut. I turned it one the lathe and stained, applied polyurethane, and wax while it was still on the lather. The metal rod is 3/8" zince coated. I bent the metal my hand in a metal bender. the metal rod goes into the handle about 4-5 inches, It drilled a hole in the base about 1/32" smaller than the metal rod and hammered it home with a wood mallet. Im proud of it, cant wait to take it into the field.

That looks great! You really seem to have some talent with wood. I hope you find some cool snakes to match.

Hey good job! Looks like it will work well for lifting and raking debris aside too, just dont take it into a national park or a preserve as you can be given a ticket.
