Hi- i just fed my california kingsnake (aka dezzy) about 20 mintues ago, i know i have a while to wait before i can play with him again i was just wondering how long. I fed him one of those pinkies-hes just a baby so thats about all he can probobly manage.

if that's a ten gallon tank, it looks about 20 inches?
i have a cal king about that size ,and i'm feeding her
2 fuzzy's a week about every three to four day's and she
still want's MORE! "feed me cemore" "feed me!"
and there is this guy on here named "newherper"
who introduced me to "calci sand" and my cal-king loves it!
she is out and about in her cage atleast 60% more than she was
with the chips. the chips also turned my cal's underside green.

oops "dezzy" maaaaan i'm slow..hump day?

I feed my babies 3 pinkies twice a week with a calcium supplement. I've handled them after I fed them, but I'm always really really careful and gentle with them. I never quite got around to choosing a cage litter, so I don't use anything except possibly a paper napkin under the water dish. They don't seem to care and I can scrub there tanks clean easier this way. Mandrake, my boy, likes to watch me and if he's hungry your more likely to see him watching you from his tank, it's kinda funny.

thanks its name is dezzy lol and im not sure the sex so i just figured dezzy could go either way. he/shes about 18inches. wow thanks for that tip on the calci sand, i saw that in the store when i bought him/her but the guy was like "get the bark" so i was like okay but i can already see dezzy's belly turning yellowish so ill probobly switch to the sand.
