three toed box turtle

I have a turtle with three toes on his hind legs and a colorful face. Is it a three toed box turtle?I have him in an outside enclosure around 4 feet wide by 3 feet with plants and water etc. Please tell me or send a pic of a three toed box turtle so i can identify him.

Three toeds have the most widely diverse colorations of any north american box turtle. Also, they do not always have three toes, and easterns and gulf coast box turtles often have three toes instead of four, so this is not necessarily a good way to ID them.

Email one of us a photo and we can ID your turtle in seconds. If you can, post it on the web somewhere and use the url of the image to post it into a thread, or post a link.
