I thought that I would get into the spirit of things.

She laid 14 fertile eggs last year and is much larger this year. Hopefully I will get a big clutch

I'm on the "list" right? Isn't this time of year exciting? My male should shed any day now .

Before we get too excited remember we still have to get the young to eat .

you are on the list - but it may be awhile. my babies that hatched last june are just starting to eat now.

this year i am not going to pinky pump. rather, i am going to let them get good and hungry and hope that they start eating by sep/ oct.

thomas davis is still owed a pair by me so he has 1st dibs in 2005.

i have to say - they are THE most gorgeous easterns out there: jet black and canary yellow.

Hey Peter

How clean are the adults ? i.e. are the crossbars clean without any gray dingy smudging ? The babies are nice and clean but the key is do they stay that way. My NJ pair are clean as a whistle and I now have a 2003 animal to see if they remain clean and it looks like they do so far...

Keith,
"Clean as a whistle" (?)

heh heh heh. What are you in an Irish Spring commercial.

Yes - they are very clean.

check my website cause there are some closer ups of the adults on that site.

Well I ask because sometimes the flash on a camera can wash out the "dinge look" I know it does on a couple of mine that are not super clean.

Keith

P.s. Dont forget to get me a female for that male.

Yeah, I know about the non-feeding thing. I've still got two non-feeding '04s in the cold cellar... maybe they'll eat on their own when I warm them back up.

I've only got three pairings this year and I'm concerned about space, so the real question is how are you going to room all your potential stock especialy next year when most of your stock matures? Let alone find the time.... We should probably have a thread about snake room storage and time-management.

I'll be out and about near Bowie next week and if the weather is kind I might find some garters for a colony if your still up for making feeders hehehehe. Nothing fits inside a snake like another snake.

Keep me in mind while your eastern hunting in N.C., at the very least find one nice enough to make Hillson drool.

Now, if I could only get my pair to act like they can tolerate each others presence. They stay on opposite sides of the cage and dont like to be "touched" by the other one anytime someone goes wandering aorund in the cage.
They're like an 8 year old boy and girl in a room "He's gross" "NO, SHE'S GROSS!!!!!!"

I finally got the damn little MD Eastern I got from you to eat. If he wasnt so nice looking he would be a watch strap by now lol. Now I just have 1 DC King to go and I have no problem feeders.
