Holding your leo...

jwr0201 Jul 08, 2003 10:38 PM

What is the best/safest way to hold your leos for sexing. One of mine is hyper and runs like a bandit! She my largest at 5 months and very healthy. She does not bite, but does not care to be handled at all. I have never restrained them when I've held them - always cradled the leos loosely - careful not to let them launch. RR

Try putting her in a tupperware container or a container that is see through on the bottom so you can put her in there, and then look through the bottom to find out the sex. That it what I did, it was just much easier because your hands get in the way. Hope this helps.

I just either turn mine over after they are calmed down, or what you could do is put your leo in a plastic see through container and just look at it from the under side, then you'll be able to tell whether its male or female without holding her.
