Aquatic texas garter?

deliverme314 Mar 16, 2005 05:42 PM

So I finally finsihed my new texas garter's home which includes a small pond (2 gallons'ish). I wanted this for it to be able to hunt or bath when ever it wants. It has a filter and good circulation... anywho. It has been in for an hour and instantly it went in and has been there ever since... swimming about just hanging out.

Is this normal? I heard that they dont care for water that much and expected him to only utilize this portion for hunting?
