How do you stop mealworms escaping?

cherribomb Mar 16, 2005 06:07 PM

Hello,

I only feed my leo's crickets with the occassional waxworm or mealie on the side, but I'm highly curious:

How do you guys feeding mealworms prevent them from escaping?! I have a high dish w/steep sides that even the little ones can get to, but the mealworms STILL escape! I find them buried in the substrate and won't offer them as treats anymore as I'd prefer not to have any Darkling beetles loose in my tanks!

PS: I have been using separate tanks for feeding for the last few months and have found that preferable -- no uneaten, loose prey in the tank to harrass my babies!

Thank You!
