Mind telling "exactly" how she is being kept? how old is she? And symptoms she is showing? (limbs, nasal etc?)

YOu are here looking for guidence.
The worst gecko keeper do not give a darn.
As the previous poster stated.
More info is needed on how you are keeping it.
Need to know your temperators?
What the temp is being measured with?
Do you have a warm side/cool side?
What substrate you are keeping it on?
What you are feeding it?
Do you have a moist hide? And dry hide?

There is lots of help here. But more info is needed.

Don't beat yourself up, like Radena said "you're here looking for help".. And yeah, we'll need some info on it's habitat. Oh and.. Did you get all these leos from the same place? A pet store? Usually pet stores carry infected animals, ones which are transmitting various parasites. So, it's possible that the geckos are sick when you get them.. Just fill us in on the enclosure, temps, what hides you have, their stools, etc..

Thanks in advance and just remain calm. -Pats you on the back-

I can't think of anything you can do that you don't already seem to be doing for your gecko.

My only thought, is it being housed in the same tank as the ones that died? If so they may have had something that was passed to the new one. Or did they come from the same place?

thecheezman069 Mar 17, 2005 03:57 PM

i have to giv her antibiotics for 10 days and this si teh 7th and i have a bowl of mealies in teh cage for her to eat also the surface temp in teh tank on teh warm side gets to about 110 but not the air temp and the cool i dunno

Whoa.. 110*F is WAY too hot.. It should be 90*F on the warm end and about 78*F on the cool end.. Also, you didn't answer the question about where the gecko came from and whether the others came from the same place or not. The hot temperature can turn the gecko off from wanting to be active, not to mention it used to be on sand.. I think the problem here is one of two things(Or both..)

1)You failed to do proper research before buying a Leopard Gecko(I'm not trying to be mean, it's just a very common mistake..)

or

2)The place your gecko(s) came from are carrying animals that are loaded with internal parasites.

If your gecko won't even respond when you put him/her on their back.. That's a very bad sign and it probably won't live much longer.. Remember 90*F on the warm end and 78*F on the cool end.. Over heating kills just as badly as not enough heat, so seriously.. Be very, very careful.

It might be the temperature that is causing at least some of your problems. Bring your surface temp down to 90, and she might perk up a good deal. I would also try crickets with her...the extra movement might stimulate her enough to eat. If you don't want crickets running around her cage, take her out and put her in a seperate container along with the crickets for eating only. The crickets won't have anywhere to hide...and may give your little one a fighting chance at grabbing them. I hope she pulls through!
