Enclosures

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has any pics of their "full grown" or "adult" greens enclosures? Just looking to get some ideas. I am wanting to build one that is really nice, but just looking to get some ideas. I dont have a green yet, but before I do the adult enclosure will be already done or close to it. (I dont' like waiting until the last guns fired before working on an enclosure).

Thanks for your time,
Stan

This cage is only 6' long, not big enough to house an adult green but the idea works well for me. As you can see the doors flip up, making it very easy to get in the cage to take the snake out. Only cost about $100 to build.

Very Nice, I like it alot. Did you seal the wood with any types of treatments? If so, what kind? I am currently drawing up my plans for mine. When I get it finished, I will post them on here to see what everyone thinks.

Thanks for the pic.

Hey
I am about to start building two cages for my RTB and one of my burms. I have two questions, 1) What method did you use in makeing the doors, as far as getting the glass in there. And 2) what kind of wood did you use. Thnank you for your time,

I used 3/4" plywood on the top and sides. White Malamine on the floor 3/4" i cut 2 holes in the top for lights and stapled the screen on the top. I used a skillsaw at a 45 degree angle on the open edge so the front will fit tight and flip upwards and hindged it. as for the doors i used 1/2" plwood and cut a square in it a little smaller then the (lexan) plexi glass i bought. i drilled holes in the plexi for a bolt to go through then i put the nut on the back side of the door to hold the plexi glass in place. ( lexan plexiglass is drillable and wont scratch or crack) there is no treatment on the plywood its not gonna stain or rott out. the malamine is very smooth and easy to clean and is water proff. i did seal all the sides with cocking. cage works very well. good luck!
