Flex-Watt Heat Tape that can be purchased by the foot and is already wired and ready to plug in? I remember purchasing heat tape a few years back and the company did the wiring for me (they went out of business). I just don't trust myself to do it and was wondering if any of you had recommendations.
Thanks you!

That you may not need to hook up to a t- stat. Good luck.

They are expensive, but have a really long and thick cord and are sealed completely. I have a wooden cage with two Ultras side by side underneath linoleum. I ran them for two days with no therm (no snake) and checked with a digital temp gage periodically. They averaged around 110 in a room in the low 70's, about 3 feet off the ground. I run a "A-life" thermostat (30 bucks) set at 95-99, but it's nice to know if the therm fails, my house won't burn down and my snake will not die- she'll just be huggin' the waterbowl on the cool side.

Every heating element has to be used with a thermostat or at least a dimmer. Not doing so regardless of what the manufactures marketing ploy is. Not doing so is playing with fire.. No pun intended...
