HaHa.. yeah, we all know the "stare"...

"I'm gonna leap from here to that wall 8 feet away"...

Not so much...

In my experience (granted its not field experience) generally they are all very clumsy jumpers... The "sticky" feet save their a$$ many times though...

Mine leaps pretty skillfuly. I once saw him make a jump from the front glass in the vivarium, to the back wall, landing only a few inches below his starting height. That was about 2'.

The funny story about his leaping though, was when I first got him, and I was handeling him. I was so enthraled by his sticky feet on my hands and the way he could balence on the tip of one of my fingers, that I didn't notice him doing the "stare"... at my nose! the next thing I knew, I had a gecko on my face.

even though they might not be acrobatic jumpers, a few of my recent acquisitions are avid jumpers. two recent henkeli purchases are both very restless jumpers when i have to handle them, and my female mossy has got to be the worst. she hops around like a friggin frog.

Sometimes I feel badly when I mist down their tank, as one henk may not feel like getting s shower and try to leap out of the way only to fall to the bottom.

I feel responsible for the fall, I see them go

KURPLUNK, all the time
