Hello I'm a newbie and I have a few questions

sondra7772 Mar 17, 2005 12:36 PM

First hello to all.

Then we go on to the questions, My husband and I are interested in getting a jungle diamond cross. I haven't been able to find care sheets specifically regarding them. Does anyone know how large they will get? I just want to be sure we don't end up with a 9ft snake that we can't handle for it's entire life. We were trying to look for something that will get max 4-6ft and were told by a store that this was a good choice. (But to some stores if it has a price tag it's "Perfect for what your looking for" I also would like an opinion if possible as to how much we should be paying for one if anyone has any idea. We have found a few of them with price ranges from 180-215 and want to be sure. We know we want to look for CB and my husband would like a female. I know that makes a difference.

Thanks for any help with this,
Sondra

to the carpet python forum that I have linked at the bottom of this post. It is the kingsnake.com forum that is especially for carpet/diamond/etc.pythons. They will be able to answer your questions better and faster, probably.

You may want to talk to a non-profit reptile authority, such as FAUNA in Riverhead, NY (Long Island). They will give you excellent advice about snakes.
