Hello all. Figured since it was a new forum I would go ahead and tell ya'll how every thing was. Today I cleaned out two of my four tanks. One was my Common Snapping Turtles tank, and the other was my small Alligator Snapping Turtle tank. I had 13 Common Snapping Turtles in one tank but I got rid of 7 of them this past Wednesday. Their just growning so fast and eat so much. So I decided to go ahead and keep 6 of them and get rid of 7. So that would leave me plenty of room for these turtles to grow. The 7 went to a good home. Any ways all my little hatchlings are about the same age. I now have 6 Common Snapping Turtles, 6 Alligator Snapping Turtles, and 2 Spiny Softshell Turtles. Then I have a bigger Alligator Snapping Turtle which stays by himself. I keep my softshells at my parents house. They get the most enjoyment out of them. I'll be getting two Flordia softshells some time in the near future to go along with them. Also I might get a razor back musk or two. Because I think their neat looking. And they don't get big like the snappers or softshells. Any ways back to my orginal statement. I cleaned out my two tanks with my commons and ally's and my little commons are getting so big and so neat looking. The two prettier ones (Their shell is turning a light brown color.) their so active compared to the rest of them. And then my little Ally's I cleaned them and when I went to wash them off before putting them in the clean tank they were really active. They've never been active before. One of my pink Ally's was determined to bite me. I know he's really small but still I don't like to get bit. I get bit enough just feeding my little commons. And their twice as big. And about the same age. Any ways one of my regular colored ones was determined to bite me also. I was so happy. Because their turning into actual snappers. LOL I know it sounds weird but I'm glad their getting aggressive finally and not being so shy. Now when I clean my big Ally tonight I'm hopeing he will be the same way. Every time I clean him he just curls up and doesn't do any thing. He doesn't even open his mouth. The only time he's opened his mouth when out of the water was when I first got him and had opened the package he was in. He wasn't happy then. But he does eat good just like the rest of them. Especialy my little commons. Can't keep them feed fast enough. Welp just wanted to drop you guys and gals a line.
Mike
