hey i was woundering where about in the mojave desert do u find these guys. ive lived in the victorville area and have been out looking for them a few times last year with no luck at all.
They are only known to occur in a few areas, until I find one I wont know which ones they are. I will definitely post a picture of one though if I find one.

This may be a good year to find them. Please in the very off chance you do find one do not disclose the location. There is little doubt that to do so would be bad for that population. Good luck in your quest, many before you have tried and failed.
Many before me did not have an actual sighting and gps the locale
. Posting data about where to find gilas in CA, much less my research, is the last thing that will be placed on this forum. Stupidity is not something Im known for. Though, I do get goofy when my beautiful wife comes in my office.
