Taming problem....

kevinBD1 Mar 18, 2005 12:54 PM

Ever since i got my savannah (i've had her for about 2 months) she has not had a problem w/ me handling her. But lately when i open the cage to try and get her out before i have the cage open, she runs into her hide house. any suggestions??

Just a guess here.. but she's telling you she doesn't want to be handled...you might have to live with that... Not every monitor wants to be picked up and man-handled. My Sav sure doesn't...She'll let me touch her in her cage... but removing her from it is always a struggle.... so I don't force her unless absolutely necessary....There's no reason to... I'm perfectly happy with an animal to simply watch. Then again.. I accepted the fact that it was very possible she'd be that way before I bought her.
