For John316 and others who might be able to help....

I recieved this email from William Brown of Skidmore University in New York. I'd like to be able to find copies of both the papers he mentions though I'm not sure where to start looking at this point. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

"There is a lot of literature on the subject of rattlesnake roundups. Of note is a paper by Wier (ca. 1992, Conservation Biology) on the Sweetwater roundup, and a more recent paper by Fitzgerald & Painter (ca. 1998, Wildlife Society Bulletin) on the overall impact of roundups. There are others, but off the
top of my head, you could start with these and build from there from their citations.

Sincerely,
Bill Brown."

Lucien,
If you manage to get copies of the articles please email me.
I would love to read them myself in an effort to become more educated regarding the actual impacts these activities are having both on animal populations as well as the ecosystem.
Keep up the good work!

Well, I found Weir's article.. unfortunately I lack the money needed to access it. I personally think charging for an online article is rather redundant but thats me... Things like that should be open to the public domain. Now, if anyone has the money they'd like to waste to do it...I'd be much obliged but I doubt it'll happen. Here's the link for it though:
