Hi
Tried posting in Getula sub-forum, but no response...
What would be a good breeding weight for Lampropeltis g. nigritus, female & male?
I've discovered that it's easiest to measure snakes by weight and monitor growth
.
Thank you

I didn't weigh mine, but shed bred and even double clutched after her second winter. As long as they're over 3 foot long and have decent thickness to them most kings stand a chance at producing at 2 years old. Four foot is much better as far as clutch size but many friends I know all try n breed their snakes at 18-24 months of age. Tom Stevens
